The cleaning capacity of the D7 is quite impressive. It is able to get rid of an average of 99.8 percent of Cheerios scattered on the floor, which is a bit better than Roomba i7+'s 94.6 percent and the Shark Ion R85's 100 percent. The D7 is also able to move well on both bare carpet and high-pile.
Another great feature is the ability to choose between two different levels of cleaning. The Eco mode makes the vacuum run more quietly and prolongs the time of use, while the Turbo mode offers more efficient cleaning. The Turbo mode is a bit loud, which can be annoying if you are using the D7 to watch television or work.
The D7 is among the few robots capable creating and storage of multiple floor plans. This is perfect for multi-level homes. It also has a fast boost function that lets it return to its base, recharge and resume cleaning. This is particularly helpful when you're cleaning up difficult areas. Neato's application is simple to use and frequently updated with new features. For the price, it is one of the best robots for carpets with thick hair available.
2. Eufy RoboVac ElevenS
The Eufy 11S, like the Neato D7 is sleek and low profile. This helps it go under couches, beds and coffee tables with greater ease than other robot vacuums can. It also features some innovative features that help it clean better and go where you want it, like the no-go lines you can draw on virtual maps to prevent it from cleaning areas that are sensitive like pet bowls and beds. It also comes with an auto recharge and resume feature that, if the battery dies before it has finished cleaning, it automatically makes its way back to its base for a charge and then picks up where it was when it stopped.
The RoboVac 11S performs much better than its predecessor, the eufy RoboVac 30C and also better than the ILIFE A4s and bObsweep Bob Pro in our tests. The dirt compartment is bigger and it has a longer battery life, and it removes more debris on everything from floors that are bare to low and high-pile carpet. It is also more durable, easier to maintain, incurs fewer recurring costs, and maneuvers itself more efficiently.
This vacuum isn't the best for bare floors. However it is a great choice for those who have carpeting that is medium and pets. It makes use of random navigation to get around the room and feels its way through obstacles using a combination of sensors housed in its front bumper and underbelly. It's not as advanced as other robots' mapping technologies however it's powerful enough to access the corners and nooks that other robots cannot reach. Instead, it rely on two spinning side brushes to break up debris and push it into an opening of three inches at the base of the device. This isn't a efficient carpet cleaner however, it's still impressive given its price.
The iLife V3s Pro is also capable of mopping. It does a decent job on bare floors and picked up faux Christmas tree needles as well as bits of tinsel and crumbles of mud in my mopping tests. It's not as great as the best robot mop.
4. Roborock s7
For a robot vacuum with impressive tech capabilities the Roborock s7 is a fantastic value. The mid-priced model works like a lot of high-end models and is simple to use and maintain. It also has a wide range of features that are similar to those of robots twice its cost. This makes it a great choice for a first-time purchaser or someone who wants to upgrade from an entry-level model or anyone who wants to save time and effort while cleaning their home.
This robot is able to be used on carpets and floors that are not bare. Its 2,000Pa suction power can handle heavy-duty carpeting. It can even remove pet hair that has accumulated in cracks and crevices on bare floors. It's built well, performs well and can be used with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands for hands-free operation. The battery is smaller than other models, but is still sufficient to power the majority of homes.
The S7 is also a fantastic mopping robot. It comes with a 200ml tank of water as well as a mopping pad that can be attached to the robot's back. The Neato Q5 Pro robot vacuum is a multi-functional device that is great at cleaning floors that are not clean. It also cleans up lots of dirt from both high and low pile carpet. It's well-built and comes with a wide range of navigational features. It is also easy to maintain. However, it has a lower capacity battery than other models and is subject to higher regular costs.
The Q5 is one of the slowest-moving robots that we've tried, but it has an efficient layout algorithm that doesn't require to be watched over after its first run through an area. It starts by tracing a perimeter and then fills the interior with parallel lines. When it's done, it returns to its charging station, or its starting location if it left the base.
It did a great job cleaning on hardwood flooring by sucking up at most 88% of the dirt for each test. It struggled a bit more on carpets with high and low piles however it did better than the standard unit. It also has mopping attachments that can remove wet spills. We haven't tested it.
Its maneuverability is superior for a robot that has lidar, and it is capable of softly bouncing into furniture and other obstacles. Its navigation system can detect stairs and multiple floors, allowing it to effectively deal with multistory homes. It can also identify individual room types if you select them on the app. It can also adjust the power level, create no-go zones and view an image of the current cleaning area. The Q5 can be controlled using the mobile app or voice commands from Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Siri.
